Girlfriends: Can't live without them!

Considering the Megan K. team is made up all girls (so far!), we have decided that in all-girls weekend is a must for every girl, no matter what else is going on in our lives.  To that end, we are working on a one-of-a-kind event with one of the area's most posh resorts and plan to have our first annual GWA (Girls Weekend Away) in 2011.  (Watch for details on Facebook after the new year so you can reserve your spot!)

Megan, Katie, and I have all recently had some time to get away with girlfriends and each one of us is convinced that we are better at work and around others after getting our girl time.  Megan's recent involvement with Extreme Makeover and "meetings" with her running team, Blonde Ambition, have been reminders that good girlfriends offer support in every aspect of life -- and a ton of laughs. 

As for me, my friends and I have what we call our "judgement-free zone" times where we all vent;  I wouldn't trade those times for anything. My day-trip to Destin this weekend with my best friend was just what I needed and reiterated the blessings of friendship.   So whether it's a Mardi Gras group, Bunko, going out on the town or even the paint-your-nails-watch-chick-flicks-and-eat-chocolate type of nights, make some time for you and your girls soon.

The big news we've been itching to tell everyone....

MEGAN K. EXTREME MAKEOVER IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

 Our team at Megan K. Events has been planning this project and the anticipation has got us all wired! Everything has come together seamlessly, and with a big touch of FABULOUS! 

 A couple of us worked on the Extreme Makeover Home Edition last night, and now we are more excited than ever to pull off an Extreme Makeover that includes some of the most posh local businesses in Pensacola, for a woman in this area that will be chosen by our own community!

A Night to Remember by Culinary Productions and Megan K!

Culinary Productions and Megan K. Events threw a gourmet dinner party at the beautiful downtown venue 5 Eleven! 
I'll walk you through how the night went. Right off the bat, the guests were greeted by our lovely Katie Geitz, where she was sitting at our table with Megan K. cookies and the table was decorated by an exquisite arrangement by our friend Joy Hodges. Then before finding a table, drinks were at the bar, all of the usual beverages plus a yummy creamsicle drink. All of our guests brought their appetites and were most definitely satisfied by the oyster bar, the carving station, and all sorts of delicacies that I can personally say where delectable!
Finally, the night wouldn't have been complete without our serenades from the talented Mark Ellis, and Jef Bond capturing all of the guests that were dressed to the nines and the beautifully presented food!

One of our favorite people Raela Villanueva, had her special birthday this past week! You may have seen her name in Bella, she's a fabulous writer and obviously since everyone loves her, her party was awesome! This was such a fun event to throw, all the ladies that showed up were so delightful!

Fall Weddings: 5 New Fall Wedding Style Ideas

We love weddings at all times (obviously, hence the career choice). That being said, there is a special place in our hearts for fall weddings....there is something in the air, the weather is perfect, the buzz about Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas is starting and with all of that, the term "Fall Frenzy" is ever so appropriate.

Pictures and Fashion and Drinks, Oh My!

This past Monday night was not your typical Pensacola Monday nights!
Megan, Katie and I got to be a part of a extremely adorable trunk show for Indigeaux, hosted at Vibe Inc.
Now, if you haven't heard about Indigeaux yet, I suggest you check it out, they have such adorable clothes that are one of a kind and are going to be opening up in downtown Pensacola, very soon!
I can't go without mentioning Vibe Inc....if you haven't checked them out either you need to! They have a big-city feel, but right in downtown Pensacola with the nicest staff.
Not to toot our own horn.... but the Megan K. signature was definitely a hit and having the whole night captured by Gypsy Isle Photography....perfection!
Think about it ladies, wouldn't this be a cute event to have at your own house? A private trunk show with this painfully adorable new brand, Megan K. drinks, and then trying on the clothes and basically having your own fashion show, photographed by Gypsy Isle?! Yes....your welcome for the idea!
